1. Information we collect
- Contact details: your name and mobile number, given at registration, at the front desk, by phone, or when you message us on WhatsApp.
- Visit details: registration number, doctor consulted, appointment dates and similar administrative records.
- Messages you send us: the content of WhatsApp messages you send, such as appointment requests or questions.
- Website usage: basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited, used only to keep the website working.
Please do not send detailed medical reports or sensitive health information over WhatsApp. Share those in person at the hospital.
2. How we use your information
- To book, confirm, reschedule or remind you about appointments and scans.
- To reply to your questions and requests.
- To send hospital updates, health camp information, new services and doctor availability, unless you opt out.
- To keep accurate administrative records and meet legal obligations.
3. WhatsApp communication
We use the WhatsApp Business Platform (provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.) to send and receive messages. Messages pass through WhatsApp's infrastructure and are subject to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy. Only authorised hospital staff can read and reply to your messages.
Opting out: reply STOP to any of our WhatsApp messages, or tell our front desk, and we will stop sending you non-essential messages. You may still receive messages about an appointment you have booked.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that run our communication systems (such as WhatsApp/Meta and our hosting provider), only as needed, or when required by law, a court or a government authority. Your information is used only for Sree Ankura Hospital and is not shared with other hospitals.
5. Storage and security
Your information is stored on secured servers with access limited to authorised staff, and kept only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
6. Your rights and data deletion
In line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent to receive messages. To request deletion, call us or send "DELETE MY DATA" on WhatsApp from your registered number. We will respond within a reasonable time, except for records we must keep by law.
7. Children
Information about patients under 18 is provided and managed by their parent or guardian.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
